Michael Mount Waldorf School, Bryanston
This project was to create four new high school classrooms and was completed in October 2016. We took 6 months to complete.
The top slab is flat to allow for approximately 68 panels to generate electricity. The slab is conduited to the DB and generator under the stairs, for easy connection of cables when the PV panels are connected.
The school requires power mostly in the day so it is a very good system.
The flat slab is also plumbed to collect all the rain water which will be stored in two 5000 L raised water tanks. The water can then be pumped back to the roof, to keep the panels dust free/clean and maintain maximum efficiency of the PV panels. Mostly the water will be used for drinking if filtered or for gardening.
